DESCRIPTION:Skipton Choral Society is joined by York Railway institute Band
  for an evocative autumn concert of powerful choral music enriched by the 
 warmth and colour of brass in new arrangements for choir and brass band.\n
 \nGabriel Fauré's Requiem forms the centrepiece of the programme\, a tend
 er and deeply expressive work whose flowing melodies and rich harmonies of
 fer comfort\, hope and peace. The concert also includes Fauré's beautiful
  Cantique de Jean Racine\, alongside the stirring Easter Hymn from Pietro 
 Mascagni’s Cavalleria Rusticana. Directed by David Lancaster and Robert 
 Webb\, the choir and band come together to give world premiere performance
 s of arrangements for brass band and choir\, bringing a fresh sound to the
